There really is quite a lot happening, so let's systematically hit each thing:
- This weekend I will be performing in a small production of Play It Again, Sam as Dick Christie (the Tony Roberts character, in case anyone was wondering). The Woody Allen-obsessed side of me is jumping up and down from sheer excitement right now.
- I was just notified that I will be joining the cast of Return to the Onion Cellar, a new dark rock musical part of the New York International Fringe Festival. It got a great run when it premier at Oberlin, and I'm thrilled to joing the NY premier cast. I have a feeling that this show is really going to push boundaries.
- Saturdays in the Dark was great at the end of last month. I was featured in a new play by Jason C. Stuart: The Woman Who Tended to Vanish. We were joined by TITAN Norway, a Norwegian theatre group that was in the city performing a limited engagement of A Midsummer Night's Dream in Central Park with Gorilla Theater Company. Norway has some amazing performers!
- I'm also dabbling in producing at the end of August with Post No Bills: The Music of Joshua H. Cohen. This cabaret - per the title - features the music and lyric of Joshua H. Cohen, an incredible new writer. More information to come, but the show will go up August 30 at 7:00 pm at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. I'll also be performing in the show. I'm handling all reservations for the show as well, so if you're interested in coming (and I HOPE you are), let me know, and I'll set you up!
That's pretty much it for now (as if that isn't a lot). Check back for more updates!
